Greetings, esteemed readers! It is with great pleasure that I introduce myself as Quynh Nguyen—a dedicated advocate of Instructional Design. Allow me to embark upon this journey alongside you, where language takes center stage and learning becomes an art. 

With immense pride, I hold a BA degree in English Linguistics, having emerged as the valedictorian of my course. This accomplishment fuels my determination to delve deeper into language and education, continuously seeking avenues for growth and development. In addition to my linguistic prowess, I have also garnered expertise in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages). My fervor for imparting knowledge has led me to embrace this discipline wholeheartedly, culminating in the acquisition of a prestigious TESOL certificate. 

For the past three years, I have had the distinct privilege of guiding ESL learners on their language-learning journeys, witnessing firsthand the transformative power of effective instruction. Presently, I proudly serve as an Academic Team Leader for an illustrious ed-tech company based in Vietnam. In this capacity, I shoulder the resource allocation responsibility, deftly managing human talent and financial assets. Together, we endeavor to craft innovative e-learning products that cater to the diverse needs of K-12 students. From captivating online courses to sophisticated testing platforms, our goal is to revolutionize the educational landscape, empowering learners with seamless access to quality content. Moreover, I am entrusted with the task of developing tailor-made curricula and syllabi to meet the specific requirements of ESL programs, fulfilling schools' requests with utmost precision. Always seeking improvement, I remain steadfast on my journey of acquiring proficiency in emerging technologies, cutting-edge learning theories, and impactful instructional strategies. By leveraging these advancements, I strive to optimize our products and cultivate truly immersive and enriching learning experiences for students across Vietnam.

My definition of Learning/Instructional Design and Technology

Since the emergence of the science of learning and instructional design, there have been numerous attempts to accurately define its essence. In this pursuit, the University of Michigan presented four comprehensive ways to understand it, which encompasses the notions of process, discipline, science, and reality. They described the instructional design as a systematic approach to creating learning experiences that yield desired outcomes, as a field of study incorporating theory, research, and practice, as a body of knowledge rooted in the principles of learning and instruction, and as an iterative process that can start at any point depending on whether the "science" element has been included.
